Default lost my lug nut key

bought these from discount tire. they said they can remove them for $100, but i was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?

i thought most places can just "force" them off, but they become ruined and u need to buy a new set? thats what i heard anyways.

wow, that's a shaft. Take them off with an impact wrench and a decent-fit socket. Save yourself a headache and ditch the locks. If thieves want them bad enough, they'll get em.

yup $100.00 way to much; got mine removed for about $4.00 if i remember correct. I did have to buy a new set though.

They make a lugnut extraction socket. It is made so when you are trying to loosen the lugnut or locking lugnut you are in reality screwing the socket onto the fastener and therfore getting more of a bite. I helped a fella this week get 4 OEM locking lugnuts off his 99 anniversary TA. He replaced them with 4 regular lugnuts and he donated $10 but I was not going to charge anything. That $100 quote is highway robbery and I would not go back to that place to do business for anything. If they will overprice that service I can imagine what the rest of there services would cost.

I just went and bought a 20mm I think it was socket, or one that is just a hair to small and pouned it on the lug nut and it came right off. Took the socket back to Sears for a full refund!!!
