Default Best price 315 tire?

I usually run nitto 555r's but just had an accident in the rain because of them. What is the best price for the money 315 street tire?

Woah dude, what kind of accident did you have/how bad was it? I would look into GSD3s, they are great in the rain.

but the GSD3's are rediculously expensive in 315's. Search tirerack.com or discounttiredirect.com for some 315's, there are some cheaper ones on there. I'm pretty sure the nitto's are about as cheap as they get at like, 164 a piece or something.

I like the Sumitomo HTR 35Z that we have on the back of '02 SS... they've been pretty good in the rain and dont make alot of noise... seems like they were $169 each from Discount Tire here in Austin, TX... I dont think they keep them in stock but can order them and get them to you in about two or three days...

spend 300 a tire on the GSD-3's....thats crazy. im surprised the drag radials let you down in the rain. you must have been drifting. hope evrythings ok. in that size. a street tire is gonnna run 200 and up

I have the Sumitomo's in 315...I think I paid $155 a piece for them, i dont drive in the rain so I cant elaborate on that but they get better dry traction than my 275 Goodyear F1's

stay away from the Sumitomos, there's a reason why they're about $100 cheaper than almost every other 315/35 out there. I've had to replace 2 tires and a torq-thrust II. the tread blew out on one and on the other the sidewall started to split on me, luckily I caught it in time.
