Its going to rub to the inside a bit, so you will have to bang out the inner well alot and run tubular lca's. You will also need to roll the outter lip.
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Did you put them on?
I have 325/18's with about a 54 offset on my 02ss

If you can get about a 42mm offset they will fit very nice.
I have 42mm 18x10's on the front of my rig, they fit fine, I tried them in the back and they fit very nice too. (thats with a 275/35) For 10" the range is probly about 38 to 58 in the back.
38mm sit out more, 58mm sit way in.
42's will work best with both.
All cars are a bit different so double check before you buy...

If I read the chart right, a 12" rim with a 7.5" backspace will fit right to the wheel well opening. Is that about right?

so the ideal off set useing an 11" rim in the rear is right in the 42-44mm range, so u dont need a spacer or a large hammer

here is one stupied question * did rear all 40 some paged of the sticky one but i can honestly say i cant remeber* a 315/35/17 should fit fine on a 10.5" rim with no issues, correct??

Question !!!!!y2k Help!!!!!!

I recently purchased a set of OE Y2Ks. 17x8.5(front), 18x9.5(rear).
I should have read this more in depth before my purchase. The wheels look OK but I expected a more aggressive look. It bothers me when Im walking towards my car and the rear wheels look really tucked in. What kind of spacer or what do I need to get that look that i so desire. I have seen other TAs with the same wheels and they look fine. I guess they were smart enough and bought the replicas with different offset. I have 245/45(front) and 275/40(rear) on the wheels. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Default 19f/20r or 20/20. Camaro SS 2000.

I’m looking into 19f/20r or 20/20. Camaro SS 2000.
I read all the treads here and seems that all the fittings are the same for all sizes: 17-18-19-20.
Aspect ratio: Will 30 be the same as 35?
Rear (max 325/30-35):
20x9.5 - 50-59mm.
20x10 - 38-55mm.
20x10.5 40-55mm.
20x11 - 42-50mm.
20x12 - 44mm (won’t fit).
Front: (max 285/30-35):
20x9.5 - 62mm.
20x10 - 55mm.
20x10.5 - 52mm.
20x11 - 50mm (won’t fit).

treads:

I was wondering if there is a way to fit a 20" rim on a 2001 ws6. What would be the widest tires I could use? Rim width? Offset?
should be the same as all the rest, you can go 11" wide w/ a 50mm offset, you could go 55mm if you do a lot of inner fender hammering.
Tire size... I would go 295 / 25 / 20 - that gives you a 25.8" tire height
Front go 9 1/2" 56mm offset of 10" 50mm with a 275 / 25 / 20 but I don’t know if they make that size.

A 10" with a 42mm offset will sit very nicely in the well.
A 36mm will be almost flush with the outer lip I think.
I have 10" 42mm on the front and tried them on the back to see how they fit.
They looked perfect.

Looking at a 11” rim----------
If you run a 315mm tire --- that’s 12 13/32”
The 11” rim is about 11 ½” out to out. That gives you about a 15/32” overhang on each side.
15/32 + 15/32 = 1” --------That’s a nice fit.
I have 325mm tires on a 11” rim.
325mm = about 12 25/32” ---- That gives me a 21/32” overhang each side
21/32 + 21/32 = 1 5/16” - A nice fit.
Now you should understand why you shouldn’t put a 315mm tire on a 9” rim. (9 ½” wide out to out)
315mm = 12 13/32” ------That gives you a 1 7/16” overhang on each side.
1 7/16 + 1 7/16 = 2 7/8” Not a GOOD FIT.

The other factor you want to consider is the circumference of the tire. If you want a wider tire in the back then in the front, and most of us do, you want to choose a set that has a similar diameter. All you have to do is look at the tire charts and match up a set.
275/40/17 matches well with 315/35/17 (80.61" cir. to 80.67" cir.)
275/35/18 matches well with 325/30/18 (80.33" cir. to 80.64" cir.)

So, if I'm reading it correctly - eg. rear ZR1 - GS offset - 50mm. Rim width is 11", from mounting surface to the rear is 7 & 11/16ths, that would leave3 & 5/16ths needed to clear the fender lip. Correct?
You are close. You need to take into consideration that the 11" is the dim from the inside of the tire mounting bead. So an advertised 11" wide wheel could have a physical overall width closer to 11 3/4". The typical backspace on an 11" ZR-1 is around 7 15/16" and mathematically giving you 3 13/16" to clear the quarter.

Will the c6 rims 18x9.5 w/ +59 offset fit the way all around?
Yes it will fit. It will have a 7 3/8" backspacing so it will stick out 1/8" more then the stock rim and be 3/8" in more.
So a 10" wide wheel no matter what the diameter would fit best with 6.75" of backspacing or a 38mm offset, according to this.
It’s going to rub to the inside a bit, so you will have to bang out the inner well a lot and run tubular LCA'S. You will also need to roll the outer lip. I have 325/18's with about a 54 offset on my 02ss.
If you can get about a 42mm offset they will fit very nice.
I have 42mm 18x10's on the front of my rig, they fit fine, I tried them in the back and they fit very nice too. (That’s with a 275/35) For 10" the range is probably about 38 to 58 in the back.
38mm sit out more; 58mm sit way in. 42's will work best with both.
All cars are a bit different so double check before you buy.

So the ideal off set using an 11" rim in the rear is right in the 42-44mm range?

If I read the chart right, a 12" rim with a 7.5" backspace will fit right to the wheel well opening.

Ok heres what I have, 18x8.5 inch 19x10 inch, 5x4.75 inch 56mm/79mm I have 245 40 18 on the front and I want to put Nitto Invo 305 30 19 on the rear what spacing do I need up front and in the rear. I inherited these rims and they look good but are a little tucked in front and rear right now. Also if I slide out the rear and it bites it will rub the inside fenderwell right now. I am not sure what size spacers are on right now but I am pretty sure I need larger ones all the way around. Any help would be great!! Thanks! Heres what they look like now

Fronts should be fine. 56mm 9" is stock. 56/8.5" only sticks in 1/4" from stock.
You could put a 1/4" spacer but I would not bother.

The back needs a 37 mm spacer or about 1 7/16 -
79mm - 37mm = 42mm Thats a good spot for 10" rims on the back.

They look very, very nice on your car

What size tyres would you recommend front and rear

Car has eibach suspension on it so sits lowered by about 1 1/2"

Cheers for the help in advance guys

They will sit only about 11/32" (about 3/8") further out then stock 9" 56mm offset rims.
(2 mm further out plus another 1/4" each way for the 1/2" wider rim)

So they will look grate and fit grate w/o any modification to the wheel well or fender lip.

That is... if it's for a 4th gen camaro or t/a

what spacer would be best for a 10.5" wheel with 58 mm offset? It looks like your chart shows them sticking pretty far in.

I would like to run a 19x10 in the front with a 285/30/19, and 19x11 in the rear with 305/30/19. What offsets would give me flushness with the fender?
Here is a link to describe what I would like a little better.

Hello everyone, I FINALLY got a 2000 TA. I have wanted one for years but couldn't swing it until now. I got it yesterday and explain as my questions may sound ignorant but brand new owner. I want to start making it mine with some rims and tires. I have read on here that I could go with 18" x 11" rims (45-50mm) with 315 rubber.
Is 18" the max Diameter for a 2000 LS1 TA (convertible.)?
I am Canadian and have been trying to find the best price possible with shipping to just inside the US border. I have shopped through JEGS in the past and was treated well but would love other ideas for shopping that can be trusted as I don't see any rims in a 18 x11 on their. I prefer the deep dish and would like as much rim and as wide as possible, providing I can afford it.
I also love the WS6 hood and am going to order one, so any suggestions on where to shop would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time, Chuck
