Default 12 inch ZR1's ......what do u think ?

Well ….I am planning to put 12 Inch wide mothafuka ZR1s on the back of my baby just for the look and I know they r heavy as hell and no 1 did this before but I want to try if possible they will look nasty for sure .....I have already 9.5 ZR1 for the front so I need something really fat for the rear so my question is......

Where can I get 12 wide ZR1 for my convertible camaro? Also what offset would be the best to keep the rim flashed with the fender? Is 335's tire good for 12 inch rim? I tried the search button but didn't find specific answer

My car is not lowered and I am not planning to lower it , my car is 2000 model Z28 Conv

What do u think guys give me idea, thoughts anything that will help me in my little project hehehe

Don’t hesitate to ask about any thing

THANX –ISA-

Why don't you just buy 17x11 ZR1's. No one makes 17x12.

That would be too wide for a Camaro. 11" pushes the limit on looks. Any wider would look pure goofy.

Have you seen a car with 315's? They are also very wide Just get the 11" wide zr1's and throw some 315/35/17 goodyear gs-d3's on there and you will have one of the widest setups you can get. The goodyear tire runs wide so it will be close to the viper tire, maybe 1/2" smaller.

I just assumed he was referring to the last body style which were 17 x 10 and 17 x 13 The new ones are 18 x 10 and 19 x 13.

**** I just noticed you have a Camaro too. Yeah dude 315's are perfect. 17x11's = a lot less headaches then trying to do 12+

I have 315's on the back of my car and I love them.

thanx people

Allot of people prefers the 38+ offset for Trans am rear and 50+ for camaro rear , why is that ?

Can any member here post pic for camaro with 11x17 38+ or 50+? I want to see the difference between both sizes from behind and side if possible before I buy

Also wanted to know what is the widest tires I can go with 11x17?

With a camaro the 315s will look hot. Here are some pics of my old 01 Z with 295/35s out back on 18s all around with a +53mm offset. Pretty fat if you ask me

Too bad we can't get mini tubs for our cars like the vettes can get from Lingensmell-ter. Our car WOULD look bad *** with 12 or 13's, but we'd have to be tub'd.

There are mini tub kits for fbodies out there. Just have to ask yourself, is it worth it? There are a couple of 17X12's Z28's out there not minitub but at stk height. The offset is the key.

Firbird's have a wider wheel well so they can get away with a 38mm offset. Camaro's prefer 50mm because it will tuck and actually look right. The only thing is they have to do quite a bit of beating whereas firebirds have to do little to none.

I wouldn't go any wider than a 315 on the 11" wide wheel.

just wondering why?
I went with 335 michelin pilots on my 94 vette, on 17 x 11 oem Zr-1 rims. I was assured by so called "tire experts" at the tire rack that 335 would be just fine on an 11" wide wheel. Definately the max width you should go on 11", but perfectly fine. I had no issues other than additional rotational weight/mass over the 315's. Plus when I was buying tires, the 315 mxx3 pilots were almost twice as expensive as the 335's were.
