It was a neat setup because it made the car have a little bit of a cleaner appearance, and it offered a nice immediately noticeable contrast to the chrome wheels. If you're up to doing another photoshop session, try doing it with the color showing up IN BETWEEN the spokes of the wheels, then see what you think.

Yes it's a thin plate that fits on the backside of a wheel. The original purpose of it is to block brake dust from collecting on your rims so they stay cleaner longer, but I picked them for the cosmetic benefit of having the color between the spokes.
