1/4 mile savings of weld drag lites over ws6 rims?
If I were to switch to 15x4 / 15x10 welds from 98 WS6 rims, what kind of time can I see being shaved off my 1/4 mile?

you'll drop a tenth or more, if your talking replica zo6's you'll probably loose about 4tenths, real z06's wont be any different than the ws6's, and you'll be able to get a meatier tire on the ws6's, are you going to buy new wheels or used drag wheels?, I've got a set of rears for sale 15x10 but the calipers would need heavily shaved or even taken off..

he meant lose not gain. heavier wheels=slower car. All in all if you go to the track often and want to shed weight then get them. Otherwise just put some drag radials and be done

This doesn't concern f-body wheels, but should give a general idea.
On my other car, the stock wheels were 16x8 and weighed 26lbs each, also ran 245/50/16 tires. I then went with some 17x7 wheels that weighed 19lbs a peice and used 235/45/17 tires. I gained 3-4mph in the 1/4 due to the lighter wheels.
