Default MAR Wheels?

Anyone heard of these or know where I can find some info on them? I saw a set on a black Camaro at the F-Body Reunion in Bowling Green this past weekend and they looked awesome. Very Fikse FM5ish.

If anyone else was there, it was the black Camaro with the black wheels with a polished lip.

What do you need to know?

That was my car you saw, and I designed the wheels. The whole story is here:
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=373147

The reaction to my wheels is absolutely overwhelming. Someone offered to buy the wheels right off my car while I was there. More than a few people had already e-mailed me by the time I got home from the event, with attached pictures of my car. Kinda crazy!

I have some damn nice images of them, but I have been having a hard time getting them edited and uploaded. I will post when I get to it. For now, click the link in my sig and scroll down.

Anyway, if you have questions, ask away.

So do you plan to sell these wheels, and if so how much, and what sizes?

What about the guys that want 17" wheels??
I really like your wheels & would probably go for those instead of the Fikse wheels I want. I saw your pricing for 18", what about 17" x 9" & 17" X 11" ??

Would pricing be the same??

The 18x10 rear weighs in at around 25 pounds. It has a pretty beefy spoke and a very strong lip, I designed and built it for the best possible balance of looks, weight and strength and not just 2 out of the 3. I wanted it to make sure it passed not only SAE testing but also GMs testing, which is miles above SAE. The wheel is an absolute tank in terms of strength.

BTW, we plan to come out with other designs sometime later this year.

We may be able to do different sizes in the future. We are taking this one step at a time, but the input is definitely appreciated and noted.

If you don't mind me asking for your opinion for my info, why a preference of 17 over 18? These days, it seems that people are going 18s or higher. Only curious.

I race more than show. I perfer the 17" wheels to keep it close to stock in look & performance. This way there is no speedo changing involved, no loss of 0-60 time & speed & no loss of time in the 1/4. From what I understand the bigger the wheel the slower the acceleration but you pick up some in top speed. Seein as how I never do any top speed runs it wont be hurting me to stay with 17's. And I would even consider buying (2) 16" X 11" wheels designed with plenty of clearance to allow a brake upgrade. That would be awsome to have a set of 16's that match the 17's just with a set of drag radials for the track days. Then all you would have to do is swap wheels & go. Then they could still all match without having to buy a complete set of (4) wheels & tires just for the track. Heck I would probably even run the 16" on the street sometimes for that little extra edge.

Plus I still think of my car as an image of Amercan Muscle. What I mean by that is, I want to stick with a older American Muscle car look. 18's & up are great for show & just daily drive with occasional runs. But me, I run someone everyday. So hopefully you can see why I am wanting to stick with the sizes I have chosen.

Dont get me wrong, I have seen some nice F-bodies with wheels larger than 17's, its just not for me personally.

Well, this sorta fell by the wayside due to lots of stuff going on. Sorry about that.

I decided that I'd better put up some decent pics for you guys to take a look at like I promised before too much time passes.

I threw some pics into a simple gallery on my web site...
http://www.phantomss.com/gallery/index.php?list=4

The images are a little clearer than the previous ones I had up.
