What do you guys think about these 2 tires ? Have you heard of either one i am looking for traction so base it on traction only. What one is better ?

my falkens hooked better than my kumho's, and the kumho's were on a A4 with 330rwhp, falkens on a M6 with 360rwhp. the falkens also seemed to wear better than the kumhos, the kumho's also seemed to be smaller even though they were the same size. maybe the run smaller like the nittos or something. for the money i would recommend the falkens
but you could also spend like $10 per tire and get some bfg kdw's, which hook much better then either of those. thats what i went with this time around and couldnt be happier

Well i appreciate your info guy's . But today i went into my work and i found a 285/40/17 kuhmo ecsta supra 712 BRAND NEW in the back that being sold as used. I picked it up for $20 buck's so i am getting 2 new 285/40/17's for $100 OTD. Does this change your guys mind ? Meaning i REALLY need tire's right now because mine are at 3/32's tread and i dont have much money. I also ordered some falkens but they would have been around 118 per tire. So i am going with the kuhmos.

theres alot more to a tire than what kinda of 60's you can cut with them on a lightly modded (im assuming) vehicle
with enough practice someone could probaly cut a 2.0 on a pair of donut spares
when comparing wet/dry traction, noise, longevity, sidewall stiffness, cornering ability, etc both those tires arent worth the rubber they are made off

I can't speak for the Falkens, but I owned a set of 712's before I got my BFG KDW's. The 712's were really squirrely on dry pavement, but not bad in wet. They were VERY noisy (if that matters to you) and wore pretty quickly. I'm much happier with my KDW's. These were on stock 16" rims, btw.

i had a set of 712's on a 87 mustang 5.0 not nealy a comparison on power but it hooked good with those tires i kinda liked them (mainly the tread patern) but they seemed to wear ok for me
