Whats a better buy? I'm buying new tires soon just want to know what do think would be a better buy on stock rims. The nitto 555r 275/40/17 dont have a price yet or Goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3 285/40/17 $466.78 with shipping for 2
Depends what you want to do with them. If great traction is your main priority then get Nittos. If you drive your car everyday in the rain, want roughly 3x the treadlife of Nittos, and want good dry traction (not as good as Nittos) get the Goodyears.
I always want traction its not my daily car. I will go to the track when I get them. Tread life it not a factor b/c I dont drive it everyday. And I try to avoid the rain when I can. Just want some good traction and a all around tire.
Fuzions, ~$125 each. excelent rain traction, they hook up on my A4 but i dont know about on a 6 speed, there are several people with the Fuzions on here and almost eveyone likes them, i know id buy them again, and actualy will probably be buying another set here in the next couple of months (not becuase of ware but becuase of rim change)

You make the call, obviously, but it looks to me like you should go with the Nittos. I recently switched from the 555r's to the GS-D3's, but it was because the car *is* my daily driver, I *do* drive it every day, and I needed longer treadlife...
