Default can you think of any better wheels?

I'm lookign at getting 18 inch wheels for my pewter TA 02

I know I ll go with 18, and naturally will lowered the car with prokits , so it seats nicely,

I ve seen pic of American racing Rebel on the board on a black TA and they look really good, they big bold look is what I m looking for

for that price ( 900$ for the wheels alone) what else do you guys think would look good

I m also considering : gunmetal Y2k, c5 z06, evos

thanks for your imput

Im not a fan of Rebels whatsover.

Im also not a big fan of corvette wheels on F-bodys anymore since theyre so common. You might want to look into some 2 peice forged Boyd Coddington wheels, maybe some Privat Profiles or HPR5's, something more original.

Not a huge fan of Rebels either. 18" TT'2s are sweet. Evo's always look good on a TA.

I say Z06... but I'm biased.

More Pics Here

I have some chops of some Profile Privats on my car that I'll host up when I get home tonight. They look pretty damn good too.

Boyd 3 series, 307's. But they are something like 1000 a wheel.

HPR5s are the best looking inexpensive wheel out there right now.

THanks for your post guys,
I try to keep in mind that my car is pewter and some wheels just look bad on that color.
I always been a fan of c5 z06 wheels , especially polish , or black
I found what might be a pretty good deal on rebels 17 inch with good Y f1 tires in good shape, I m jsut wondering if 17 is enough... but still I m goign to keep the car on stock suspension for a while , maybe its what I should do ... 17.
Another question. I really like the idea of putting all black zr1 with big 315 in the back , , how does it work? rubbing? better traction , ( deuhh),
As you can see I m still not sure at all with what I want to do with wheels tires,
just need to stay under 1200$ , new or used
just tell me more about your experience if you d like !!
thanks thanks thanks, goign back to stupid accounting homework....

i dont like the rebels much either, something just too heavy looking about them maybe. for your price range, Z06's (i know i know), C5's, HPR5's, or EVO's or some of these:

shameless plug for the privats (my car)

Abadss,
I tried to price out the wheels in the second pic of your post, the split 5-spoke thin design, but they don't offer them on the correct lug pattern. They have the 5x120mm, BMW size, but not the 5x120.65 STD bolt pattern. I'm not the type of guy to run an incorrect part and risk my car and life due to it, but they are a nice looking wheel.

Hi there, if you are referring to the SS spoke 17/9s, you can get them at SLP for a cheap price. Those are my old stock SS rims. Slp sells them and you can get them all over ebay used. Later, Kevin.

Personally, I think chrome looks better on pewter than any other color. Whatever you do, go chrome.

I love them, but they are a bit heavy.......30lbs back and 28lbs front, I really dont know how much that hurts performance....

Hi Cedric, awesome choice bra. Get the 18/9s in front and 18/10s out back so you can at least go with 295/35/18s. That is what I'm getting soon. BFG KDW NT DRs. It's a good idea to lower your TA at least an inch. I'm slammed with the Eibach Sportlines and I think my car dropped 2.5 inches. No rubbing issues while driving and I just have to slow it on the speed bumps. My BFG KDW NTs are awesome in the rain and dry roads. I don't think I'll buy anything else when these go out. Later, Kevin.
