Powder Coating Rims
I have a factory set of ZR1`s I was thinking about having done in black and resell them since there are a few scratches from wear & tear since they are 98`s. How well does this process work/last and what kind of price could one expect to pay

set of 4 rims? how much do you want to sell them for as/is?
powdercoating will run at least $50 up to $100 a wheel, you probably couldnt sell them and make any money. nobody wants to buy my powdercoated 10 spokes for $450, thats $50 bucks more than (perfect mind you) 10 spokes usualy go for

i gave $50 a wheel to have mine powdercoated, but before that i had to have them sand blasted for about $60 total and then i had to hand sand down all the curb rash and nicks and that took a while to get all the curb rash off the lips. so i had a little less than $300 and about 8 hours worth sanding in. i would say you would be better off selling them messed up.

Powder coating holds up a lot better than paint will and can be just as glossy. I had my TT2s powder coated and I love them. They are just as glossy as paint. I paid $400 to have mine done.

a "10" powder (as glossy as you can get 1 being flat 10 being glossy) dosent look anywhere near as shiney as automotive paint and clear. i powdercoat stuff, i know the business, i have both powdercoated and painted wheels. i speak from experience
