That is a pure road race tire, only a slightly harder compound than a soft Goodyear road race slick. You'd be lucky to get 2000 miles out of it (and that's driving it easy!). The zero treadwear rating should give you a hint. Besides, it has an extremely stiff sidewall, so despite it's stickiness, it would not launch all too well.

Same. thing I heard, fast treadwear. I know a guy that runs him on his Z06, but he autocrosses. Also, there is a guy that runs him on his 04 Cobra over on SVTperformance.com, granted it is not a everyday driver though.

I picked up 4 of these 305/30/18's for $100 with half tread. Im going to put them on some wheels that hardly ever see the street. I guess ill see how they are.

Hmmm, I wonder if his IRS makes up for the sickly stiff sidewalls (assuming he did not switch to a 9") or does that make for even more wheelhop on launch? I bet that thing handles purdy good for something that heavy, as long as he dialed out some of the standard understeer they come with (off throttle, of course).
