I dont want to spend 2 grand on a set of wheels. Id rather spend that elsewhere, but I want to get some new larger wheels. I want to be different also. Have the y2k vette wheels been overdone? Or are there aftermarket wheels that might look better?

I got tired of the corvette wheels myself after having a few sets. Heres some that I would personally go for with your budget:

Some HP Evo hyperdarks would look badass on your car, these would be my number one choice.

TTII's look great, but are out of your budget so these would be nice alternative even though theyre Mustang wheels. I believe you can get them in gunmetal too which would look good on your car:

HP5's also look really nice:

Oh I like those HP evo's. Now my only question would be, how would those look on a non lowered car? Cuz when I buy those I wont have the money to lower the car.

They would still look great on your NBM T/A, just lower it when you have the money.

I'd actually go for some 275/35/18's. Heres some cheaper choices as far as tires go:

Buy used 1998-1999 17" OEM Chrome Trans Am WS6 wheels. You will not find a better looking wheel for the Firebird especialy if the car is lowered. Used 17" Chrome SLP Firehawk wheels look cool also. Search Ebay under WS6 wheels.

18" wheels are TOO HEAVY which can hurt performance.

To lower the car do I just need lowering springs, or do I need new shocks too?

Just lowering springs. Eibach Pro's are best.

Ya what do yall think should I do all 18 x 9 or should I do front:18x9 rear:18x9?
EDIT: Also, should I go with the dark or the light silver. I would have done chrome, but they dont offer it.

The hyper darks are WAY better looking than the lights. I also agree to go with the staggered setup so the lips arent the same front and back.

You wont find them for cheaper than here, just get them and be done with it:
