Default My evos

Finally got the evos and the tires in and mounted. They are Dunlop Direzza 275/35/18 on the 18x9's and Fuzion 245/40/18 on the 18x8's. They will be on the car next tuesday. I am just waiting for the hubcentric rings. Ill post pics of them on the car when I get them on. But for now here you go:
UPDATE: Scroll down to see them mounted on the car.

Tirerack sent the tires to the goodyear on texas near walmart in CS. I figured I should go to one of their recommended installers just in case anything went wrong.

I dont wanna wait for the hubcentric rings, but I know I should. I want to put them on know.

they center the rims over the hub because the bolt circle diameter is a little off (120mm vs. 4.75in stock). The hub openings on the rims are 73mm and the hubs on the car are 70.3mm. We dont need them on our stock rims because the hub openings on the rim are the same size as the car, obviously because they are stockers. I would imagine that most aftermarket rims need them. If you dont have them the rims could be a little off center and start vibrating, and even cause the lug nuts to work themself loose. So, to make a long story short I can put them on right now if I want to, but just knowing that those rings are there will make me feel better.

Hey thanks for informing me, I guess the last question is, were the rings pricey and where did you find them, again thanks.

No the rings werent too bad, i think they were like 20 bucks. I got the aluminum ones from 1010tires, but they are available many places. Do a search on yahoo or something for hubcentric rings. If you have evos make sure you get the ones that are 70.3 inner and 73 outer diameter. If you have other wheels you will have to measure them.

I'm sure they are. Thats exactly what my TA will look like if I get some EVO's! My Ram Air hood is on its way though I can't decide on the Evos or HPR5s!!! I've always been partial to 5 spoke designs but I actually like the EVOs too.

I really like those wheels and tires, very nice Now if you don't mind me asking, how much did they cost(wheels) and where did you purchase them. I have a pewter vert. I'm thinking the hyper dark would look good, I noiticed HPRacing had chrome also.

I noticed you got 18x9 and 18x8, tell me the reasoning please. Do you think those wheels would fit on a lowered T/A. I like the idea of having a bigger tire out back.

Thanks,

Eddie
