Where to start....?

Where to start....? Ok guys I am looking to get some wheels and tires for the track for the spring / summer and I'm just not sure where to start. I have browsed through one of the stickies but I have a few questions and just want a recommendation.
1.) I need to buy new wheels preferable something to fit between a 275 and 315 tire. Where should I look , whats cheapest? These are for the track so looks do not matter at all.
2.) What kind and size of tire should I be looking for and where? I still have the stock 10 bolt and 273 gears w/ an A4 so I know it will take more punishment than a M6 but I still dont want to break anything because of the tires.
Basically I want a pair of wheels and some sticky tires for as cheap as possible that will (hopefully) last me one season at the track.

a set of nittos should do just fine....and you can get a set of ZR1's or Z06 wheels to go with un less ur looking for BLING!!!! i would get some fikse if you got the dough

I dont care what the wheels look like at all the only important factor is price and I would like at least a 275 tire. They could be pink for all I care , they would only be going on at the track.
I was thinking about trying to get some used firebird/camaro wheels on ebay or something but its hard to find anyone thats only selling two.
Also I found some Cragar wheels at Summit racing they are like 40 bucks or something just plain black, anything wrong with these?
I hear nittos dont last too long is that true?
