SOrry BUT - what is the offset needed for 17" rims on a LS1 Car?

Default SOrry BUT - what is the offset needed for 17" rims on a LS1 Car?

I am sure its bin posted 70000 times BUT I read the stickeys and tried to search a few times. I just slow I guess and I musta Missed it? saw a few charts BUT did not seem clear to me.

Can someone tell me what back spacing I need to look for when I buy some new rims? I want some replica vett rims in 17" But I need to know what backspacing to order? whatever fits the LS1 cars best as wide as possible? Thnaks for the Info and sorry if its a re run post?

My favorite offset is 50mm in back with 17x11 and 56mm in front 17x9.5..

so if both rims were 17X 9.5 than you would want to see a 56mm offset on them all I guess? Thanks for the responce bro. Lata, Ark

9.5" wide wheels your offsets can be between 38 mm and 57 mm. The smaller numerically the offset is the further out the wheel moves. So a 57 mm offset wheel is "tucked" in and a 38 mm wheel is flush to the front fender face.

Thank's for the explination. I was asking because When I go to Buy a new set of rims I dont want to have clearance problems with the brake calipers. I know that sometimes that can be an issue? My wife seems to like the bullet style rims so that may be what I go with? Thanks for the help, Arkangel77

brake caliper clearance has nothing to do with a wheels backspace or offset.
