Front and Rear difference????

Front and Rear difference???? Im thinking about going 315/35/17's rear and upfront 275/35/17's. i keep reading about people going 275/40/17 up front and was just wondering what the reasoning was behind that.... isnt that the sidewall size???? ive searched for a good while now and cant get a solid answer out of it.
(ordering TTII's 17X9.5 and 17X11)
also spacing recommendations would be appreciated and how it worked out for you

B) 275/40R17 was factory size on the SS/WS6. It works fine.
C) What the 2 guys above said about overall height matching and ABS lights
D) Anything but a 275/40 is Un-American (ok, I made that up...)
The sidewall height is a percentage.
315 * .35 = 110.25mm / 25.4 (convert mm to inches) = 4.34 inches (sidewall height) * 2 = 8.68" + 17" (wheel diameter) = 25.68 inches (overall tire height)
275 * .40 = 110mm / 25.4 (convert mm to inches) = 4.33 inches (sidewall height) * 2 = 8.66" + 17" (wheel diameter) = 25.66 inches (overall tire height)
So you get two tires with the same overall diameter and you are OK.
