What rim are you running these on and what offset?

I was thinking of trying to squeeze some 335's on a 17X11 ZR1 wheel with 50mm offset. Will it work without issues?

I'm running the 1LE springs which are only slightly lower than stock. Here is a pic with 275's.

I had to 'massage' the inner fender area with a BFH to get my Comp TA 315's to fit. My car is lowered about 1-3/4" in the rear. Also, an adjustable panhard rod is mandatory with these width's. Some trimming of the stock LCA's might be necessary also unless you're using aftermarket LCA's.

aw dang. If 315's are a problem them 335's would be worse. I guess I better get a GBFH!! LOL!!

I really don't mind if they stick out a little. I just want some traction. The 275 KDWS's are useless. They even spin in third at 70-80 mph when the boost kicks in.

Just don't go overboard with the hammer. The area you need to clearance happens to be the same area where the seat latches on the interior. Ask me how I know lol....

Instead of more rubber, you might consider staying with what fits (315-335's) and look for a stickier rubber compound. A HUGE hard tire is sometimes not as good as a smaller but real sticky one

True dat. I'm going to try different combinations. I ordered the MT ET drag radials in a 275/40/17 but I'm afraid it is not going to be enough. I'd like to try the hoosier drag radial on an 11" inch rim but it looks like they come in 335/35 and not 315/35. The 315 nittos would surely not stick the way I want.

i dont know why people always assume that a wider tire is going to give u better traction. it will be marginal at best. if u want traction the u need to look at 2 things. tread compound and sidewall. a 17" rim does not allow for enough sideall to flex thusfor will not hook as good as the exact same tire in a 15" variety. 315's are for people who autox or for those who want a meaty look. the only reason u may think they would hook better is because they weigh more and give u that idea-but its not correct.

That has worked I saw them on a car with that offset. I'm running 18x10.5 black zo6 motorsports with the stock vette offset, I can't remember the number though, I think its 46mm or 48mm.

Open pic in MS Paint and click image/stretch/skew. Then put in the % horizontal, vertical you want to resize it to.

OK so that gives me a glimmer of hope.

Haven't you seen the Pontiac commercial? Wider is better!! LOL!!

Your logic is somewhat flawed because you left out one factor......contact patch. And if I wanted to get max hookage I'm well aware of what a full slick can do. We are looking for max traction on a street tire with a relatively stiff sidewall. In this case the more rubber you have on the road the better.
