I just roughed them up with some 800-1000 git sandpaper and taped the lip off and went to town with some high heat gloss black spraypaint. I don't think high heat paint is needed. Just regular (good paint) like Krylon would work just as good and may even be more glossy.

very nice, i have a question though, can someone have this setup as a Daily Driver? u got my point, i like that the car is high above the ground and it doesn't look odd coz the wheels are large so it really shapes it up pretty neat..

We have the bigger tires on there so he can drive on the highway, etc. because he's got 4.30 gears and runs a 28'' slick. I think the rake is sexy!
High above the ground?? If you're referring to the wheel gap (in the close-up pics), it's only that bad because we had just put it back on the ground from being jacked up and the shocks/springs hadn't settled yet. Normally, it has a nice 1-1.5 finger gap.
