Talking Drag Radials

I have a 1998 Z with a 3.73 A4 stock 10 bolt. The only mods are trans kit,exhaust, and air filter also.Thinking I might be making 290-320 h.p. what drag radials do you recommend? I purchased a set of Toyo T1-s's and only have about 10000 miles and they break loose all the time. I know you are going to say replace the rear with a 9 or 12 bolt but $ is an issue right now and I need the best solution!

if you put drag radials on it you need to watch how you launch.

stock 10 can break very easily although i do know of a couple guys locally still running them in a4's who are deep in the 11's if not high 10's

I launch mine with no love on BFG DRs. Have not broken my 10 bolt yet. Its only a matter of time before it goes.

Your going to have to work on breaking that 10 bolt in an A4. Not to say it can't happen, but you stand a better chance of not breaking it IMO. Especially myself w/ 2.73's. I think that on drag radials you should have nothing to worry about. I've been on my stock 10 bolt for 150,xxx getting to 7.5 in the 1/8 w/ a 1.6 60' time and have no problems as of yet. Just start saving now because eventually you will need something beefier (12 bolt) but not for a while, hopefully. Just my .02

4.10s and 275/50/15 MT DRs on an A4, my rear is just fine.

I've also heard because of the automatic it takes a couple of seconds before the stall puts all the power on the tires. Is this true or just crap? Also thanks guys for answering my questions!

I wouldnt recommend getting sticky tires if you dont have the money for a new rear.
If you must Id recommend nittos. (I run 335 DRs on my car)
