Default Sell my rims for different or keep em?

Hey everyone. Currently i am rockin my 18x8 Privat Fahrens. I get a lot of compliments on them and i think they look pretty good on my car. However the 18x8 is bugging me a little and i would like something wider. My wheels are up for sale but i am now having second thoughts. What do you guys think? If i sell them i will either be going with Boyd Smoothie 2s (18x8 up fornt and 18x10 out back with deep dish) polished or some polished/chrome Z06's with 18x9.5 up front and 18x10.5 out back. What are your thoughts? Keep mine and later on fork over some cahs to widen them out to 10 or screw all that hassel and ditch them for some smoothie 2's or Z06's. I dont really care whats overplayed and whatnot as there arent many f-bodies around me. I want something that will look simply sick. I do have the time to up keep polished wheels as i spend time cleaning my car all the time so that is not a problem. Post up what you think and/or other suggestions. Thanks!

Well, I just got 18" Smoothie 2's for my car two weeks ago, and I hafta say go with those. I'm just not feeling that hyperdark/hyperlight look....its either gotta be chrome, polished or nothing. Good luck selling your wheels...I've found its hard to find a buyer for a unique wheel like yours, yet Z06s, TT2s etc. sell with no problem

well if you could give me a deal somewhere around Boyd prices id be all over it. I know your wheels are nice but damn, double the price of the smoothie 2s. Comon man, i know you can help a young kid out with a deal . Id really want some iForged 18x8 and 18x10 with a 5" lip out back. PM me the best price you can do on those, lol

Something else to think about...if you widen the rear wheels, all the extra width will be going to the inside. So for it to actually look like you've done anything and have some more meat back there, you are going to need a spacer for the rear wheels etc....I just don't think thats the right way to go about doing it

yea well go fast parts are coming along. Im saving for a big surprise actually so ill need something wider outback. I believe i calculated i have enough room to widen to 18x10 out back and be find without a spacer or anything. If i sell these rims and my stock 16s im sure the new rims wouldnt cost me anything if much at all. So how do you feel, smoothie 2s look better or mine. here are some pics of some smoothie 2s.

Smoothies are too retro for our cars IMO. I like them on the 2nd gen cars. Fikses, Evos or SSRs would look good.

Well i dont really dig many of the Fikses, the profil 5's are the only ones that catch my eye a little but there price tag is too much i believe. Also HP evos only come in 9" wide at the biggest and i want at least a 10. Any other input/suggestions?

Approximately how much do you want to spend? You can always go with C5 Z06s or go with CCW or one of the other custom wheel manufacturers. Just about any 18X10 that doesn't weigh a ton will be costly. You'll also find more choices if you are willing to look at C5 rims (TireRack) and perhaps use a small spacer or adapter if the offset is too severe.

Well im looking to spend about 1000-1500. The smoothie 2s are like 314 a wheel for the 18x8s and 348 for the 18x10s so about 1300 for the set. The only c5's im really interested in would be some Z06s, but i like the smoothies more i think. Any other input/suggestions?

Your current wheels are cool, but they remind me of the ROH Snypers I had on my thirdgen which I thought fit the body lines of the thirdgens better than the newer TA's. I like the idea of going with the Z06 wheels, even though it seems like everyone has them. The best wheels on a newer ws6 are the CCW 505's, imo.

Bring out your current rims.

I didn't like them at first glance but now I'm drawn into them.

yea, well more and more im drwn to the smoothie 2s, Any idea how much we could get 505s for if we had a few guys go in? Also, what offset and backspacing should i get on the Smoothie 2s so i dont have to do any BFHing or rolling fenders. 18x8 up front, 18x10 out back with biggest lip possible and running 295/35/18 BFG drags. Thanks
