Nitto NT 555r Tire Pressure?
So I'll be sticking some 315 555r's on out back. What pressure do yall recommend for a daily driven car to minimize uneven tire wear. They will see the strip over summer but I need them to hold up long as possible. I will also be putting 275 555's up front as well... should I just keep those pressurized close to max? Thanks!

I've got 315 35 R17 on the rear and I dd with about 26-28 psi. On the track on run anywhere from 18-22 depending on weather/track conditions.
dnm12, you want to drop your pressure some for more bite off the line. 12 does seem a bit much though. what are you 60's?

horriable currently thats why I just bought the nitto's 2.00 is the best i could get on street tires with about 25 PSI and heated up real good, but I am spinning the tires in fourth pretty bad...so i will run at about 25 PSI at the drags and go lower if i still dont hook but 18-20 is the lowest I should go..

What I do is start at 22 and work my way down to find what works the best. Good luck!

good stuff what do you guys do to fill them back up? my drags there is no air station, I have an air compressor that I could fill at home and take to the drags but that seems a bit extreme?

I have 245/50/16 nitto drags. (my first set).
DD, all street driven in town.
I have 4000 miles on them, and I'm on the tread markers in the center, and about 1mm from the markers on the outside.
22 psi.
They are night and day difference in terms of traction on the street this way (vs. a street tire).
But, obviously, they don't last AT ALL!! I was hoping to get 10k out of them. Not a chance.
And the rainy season is on its way........ (wife's not gonna be happy that I'm buying tires this soon).

Damn! You must spin your tires every time you take off from a stop. I've had three sets of the Nitto drag radials so far and I got 14,000 miles out of the last set. The first set was replaced at 12,000 miles but still had tread left. My current set is looking like they will last over 15,000 miles.

Anyway I have the rears at 25psi and the fronts at 32psi. Works good for me so far but its just been street driven. I can't comment about racing.
