Default Gold wheels?

Ok, so far I have only black, chrome, and silver wheels, but what about Gold? I have a 98 trans am with a set of Torq ThrustII wheels with black centers. For some reason, I love the looks of the eightysomething Trans Am GTA wheels (Gold centers), but it is impossible or too expensive to find the same kind wheels for my car. I was wondering if anybody had a set of gold wheels on his car other than the Gold Firehawk wheels. Torq Thrust II's with gold centers?? How does that sound? or any other kind of wheels, they just have to be gold. Thanks everybody.

What color is your car? IMO, the only color car that can get away with gold wheels is a black car. If you do gold wheels on a black car with a black/gold paint scheme it can look pretty good. I would have to go with the gold HPR5.

I also would recommend the gold hpr5 I think they would look good on the right car, but not everyone can pull that off.

Gold would only look good on a few colors. Black, White, Red, or Dark Blue. Gold wheels haven't been too trendy with domestic V8 late models, but the import crowd loves them. WRX's even come with gold wheels.

Agreed. It would only look good on certain colors, but I think another color would look better than gold

My car is Black, 98 WS6, that is why I know that it will look good. A year ago I bought a set of TTII and like I said, the centers are black. Now, I am thinking about buying another set of TTII but this time the spokes need be golden. Has anybody seen the BBS GT wheels, those are nice and they look a lot like the GTA ones.

I think gold wheels with a polished lip on a black 4th gen TA would look right at home! If my car was black, I think I would do it.

It's the 10th Ann. Firehawks that came with gold wheels, correct? I think those look pretty sharp (with the matching accents on the body).

You can just have your TT2's powder coated like that! Thats definitely what I would do.

In addition to powder coat, since the TTII's come from the factory polished you could go this route as well:

http://www.alsacorp.com/products/cle...h_prodinfo.htm

It's a clearcoat that's been formulated specifically for chrome and polished surfaces. What makes it special is that it's self-etching so that it bonds to mirror smooth surfaces like glue. (Check out the demo videos.) That same company sells candy tints for all their clears and the differential cover in the pic was done with their gold tint. With this stuff, you could essentially have a set of TTII's that look like they were gold plated rather than just painted.
