BFH= big ****** hammer mod....you beat the inside of the fender well to fit your 11's without rubbing...i didnt have to and my car is lowered. you can get a sumitomo if you dont want to spend alot but i would recommend the bfg kd or kdw...kd is for dry traction adn and the kdw is for dry/wet. its up to you

Well it all depends on what your looking for in a tire. For a good street legal drag tire you can get BFG Drag Radial 2's for around 150 each. Beyond that your best bet would probally be a Kumho, as far as bang for the buck goes.

I don't need a drag tire really since I never drag race. I just want a tire that is going to be a good daily driver tire.

I had the Sumitomo's and they area very skinny 315. They are cheap and you get what you pay for. I don't think BFG offers a KDW in 315, but only a KD. Those are expensive. I bought a pair of Nitto 555R drag radials. They will last a ton longer than the BFG's. But the BFG has a much wider foot print. But that equates to tighter wheel well clearance.

I have the Sumitomo's right now , they ride extremely well...quiet and smooth without any rubbing...of course years ago I did the BFH mod to inner wheel well because of a different setup. I really like these tires for a daily driver.

Nitto NT555R is the Drag Radial that 80% of people have on their 17x11's to my understanding

I have the Goodyear F1 GS-D3's and really like them. One of the best tires I've used.

They are quite pricey, you can check out tire prices @ www.discounttiredirect.com

$283 a tire

Here's a list of 315/35/17 tires offered by discount tire:

The Goodyear F-1 are somewhat out of my price range. Which would be a better tire for a DD. The BF Goodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial or Nitto NT 555R Drag Radial or Kumho that someone suggested above(I know nothing about Kumhos)

Kumho does not make a 315 as far as i know

here's my list from when I was looking

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
211 for 275/40/17 Discount Tire Direct
283 for 315/35/17 Discount Tire Direct

206 for 275/40/17 Tire Rack (20 Shipping)
277 for 315/35/17 Tire Rack (30 Shipping)

BF-Goodrich g-Force T/A KD
253 for 315/35/17 Tire Rack (15 Shipping)
241 for 275/40/17 Tire Rack (20 Shipping)

BF-Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW
167 for 275/40/17 Tire Rack (20 Shipping)
187 for 275/40/17 Discount Tire Direct
I included the KDW as it matches the KDs enough IMO for the fronts

shipping is per pair, where as price is per tire (Discount Tire Direct has free shipping but you got to add taxes * at least in Texas)

I did not include Nittos as they will only long half as long as a regular radial tire

and Discount Tire local Stores will match Discount Tire Direct's price

im more partial to BFG tires, i've been running different types of BFG tires on my car ever since the stock eagle F1GS's went to **** (wait they were **** brand new?? haha) after a track day, (road racing track day that is) my friend literally had CHUNKS come off his good years, and i've never had problems like that with BFG's....

my $.02 is on the BFG's....i have had good results with them. and never been to partial to goodyear tires
