my nitto 315's have NEVER given me a problem even in the rain....now BFG's, uh yea 12mph sounds about right on the highway....my friend almost wrecked his car just cruising with no one around him..the car just got crazy on him...like it was possesed lol...be careful wit the bfg's and the rain guys.. jus look at the tread common sense says that its not too compatible with water lol at least the nittos TRY to move water off the center of the tire

BFG DRs suck absolute *** in the rain. Period. Look at the tread patter, the middle is a slick. You aren't going to channel much water away from the tire with 'em. I have 295s on the back of my car and its all over the place even at low speeds. If you're planning on getting caught out in the rain at all save yourself, your car, and anyone else sharing the road with you the trouble and look elsewhere.

I have 275/40/17 Nitto 555R's out back. I can do 70-80 on the highway in the rain no problem. If it rains terribly hard I slow down to about 50 just to be catuious, I have about 70% tread left...I can even half pedal it from a low roll and it doesnt spin bad, if any. Maybe Im just lucky?

I used to have 275s, and even until they were getting low, I'd keep my speed to about 40-50.
