315 bfg dr's in the rain??
I had a bald set on the rear of my car, and almost wrecked my car in the rain a few weeks ago. I bought them used, so i never knew how good they actually would be with full tread in the rain. I konw they arent good. but I now have a new set of bfg drag radials now, it feels like my back end is drifting around(it might just be in my head now). how safe are these in the rain? not at all?

I was driving my dad's car, a fwd lexus es 300 with close to bald tires in the rain, that felt very dangerous. I was drivin on the highway in heavy rain. I know driving rwd with DR's in heavy rain wouldve been very dangerous. I had to slow from 70 to 45 becuase the car was squirmy and we couldnt see since it was at night. It never was like that at any other time. We got new tires the next day and they worked a hell of a lot better in the rain.

I crashed a car (not this one) with 275 40 17 nittos..no ******* traction in the wet or any kind of cold. They are useless outside of dry summer days. I have BFG kdw dr's on my SS and they're slightly better. After this set I'm going to more of a wet/dry tire. Any dr I've used has been way unsafe outside of heating them up.

I got caught in some heavy rain with my 315 bfg drs and I coudn't keep the car straight at 25mph. I ended up having to pull off to the side and wait it out. I have 275 BFG KDWs in the front.
I've also been caught in the rain with 305 Nitto drs and they are not much better.

Yea I had nittos on my car and now daily drive it with mickey thompson drag radials. It is the same way. I have to slow down to around 25-30 mph on the highway and about 10 or 15 mph through the city. I think its just the smart thing to do(drive slow) even with good tires in the rain. I will be going with some good tires for bad weather next time I buy some though.
