probably a stupid/commonly asked question but....how big of a tire can i fit in the rear of a stock ls1 z???

245 50 16 255 50 16 somthing like that wheels are only 8'' wide I believe . Good luck

The Tire Rack has BFGoodrich g-Force Sport's in a 255/50-16 for $105 apiece. They're rated 3rd in their class and will fit on a 8 inch wheel nicely. They are .4 inch taller and will fill the wheelwell on a non-lowered car a little better.

bought lowering springs 2 inch drop....cant really afford torque thrusts, just want somethin a little wider in the back. i have 245 50 16's right now

I fit 315 16's drag radials totally fine on my stock rear LS1 TA

As was stated, 255/50 16. There are not too many choices in this size though. Also, I would put them at ALL FOUR CORNERS, as you might be at the ragged edge of the front-rear diameter difference (245/50 16 fronts, 255/50 16 rear) as far as ABS is concerned (if that even matters to you).

i actually thought about that but wasnt sure if it would really make a difference. after seeing a pic of a black ss with chrome z06 wheels, i think a set of those are in my near future now anyway....thanks for the info guys
