Default 17 in. ZR-1's on a Z28 Camaro??

Does anyone have any pics of what chrome ZR-1's (SS wheel) look like on a Z28. I am wanting to know if the Z28 sits any higher than a SS causing alot of space in the wheel wells when you put these rims on a Z28. I want to keep the same height and do not want to lower it. I just like to get some info and maybe some pics to see how it looks.

Nice to see someone close by. Do you have any pics jetlag? I thought it might look a little bit high with the change of tire size. I guess the SS sits a little lower from the factory. That is what I was wondering about.

There are about 15,000 pictures on here with Camaros and ZR1's, please use the search button in the Wheels & Tires and Appearance & Detailing and you should be able to find anything you need mmmkay??

What size wheels are those on your car? Is it lowered? I know I can do a search for pics but I was wondering about going up to 17 in. without lowering mostly. Alot of the camaros look like they have been lowered.

No pictures yet...my digital camera battery charger is dead. The tire size on my rims are 275/40/17 all around.

CORRECT!! One or the other might give the illusion of more or less wheel well gap though, because of how much wheel diameter to tire sidewall ratio is present.

It's all in your head, 315/35/17's, 275/40/17's, and 245/50/16's will all have the same height.

Ok..... now what tire were you running before?

i.e. Nitto 245/50-16 (stock size) is 25.67" tall and your 315/35-17 is 25.79" tall.

There should be no reason you have 1/2" difference in ride height just from swapping tires. Unless you had a different size 16" tire than I just listed.

i knw they are all 26" tall tires, but i actually took a measuring tape to it, front is 28" from the ground to the middle of the wheel well, and the rear is 28 1/2". also fron the sideskirt i think it was 10.5 or 11" from the ground and the rear was 1/2" taller. ill take pics if you want me to

The car doesn't sit perfectly level front to back. Think about it.

It also depends on what year your car is. The 98 cars tend to sit lower than the 99+ cars. Take mine as an example, it is a Z28 (disregard the aftermarket hood), but it sits about an inch if not more lower than my friends 99 Z28. We both bought our cars brand new and still have the stock springs.

Besides that, most SS's don't sit any lower than a Z28
