Default CCW and HRE Look alikes??? Are there any??

I love the look of CCW and HRE Wheels on the TA's but are there any other wheels that look kind of like them except without the high price????

If there were any that looked close enough, you'd probably see a ton of them on the street, and probably wouldn't want them as much since they'd be a dime a dozen. IMO, CCW wheels are pretty cheap for custom rims.

Some IForged wheels look like HRE's. Look into those.

Plus, cheaper wheels are cheaper for a reason. Most are heavier, which equates to a loss in performance. Weather or not it is drastic enough to be felt is hard to say, but when most of us are modding our cars, it seems foolish to put ANYTHING on them that may hurt their performance. Also, most "good" wheels, such as HREs, iForged, CCW, DPE, etc are of much better overall quality, weather it be structural quality or appearance/finish wise.

Lastly, the wheels are the cars most noticable appearance upgrade, too many times (I have done it also) people buy a cheap wheel, only to wish they had gotten the wheels they wanted originally. IMO if a CCW or an HRE is what you want, anything but one of those will not make you 100% happy.

Good luck, Shawn

Look at Ruff Racing 278's. I'm thinking about them as well.

Those aren't cheap either

I think by cheap he means somewhere around $1000 for the set of four.

Yeah...that's tough to do, no doubt. Plus you'll usually be factoring in new tires as well since most people go to a larger diameter or a wider rim. It is by no means a cheap proposition.

The rivets on the ruff racing 278s make them not look as nice as the ccw wheels. I think the clean look of CCWs is what attracts a lot of people to them.

18x10 up front, 18x11 in the rear. If I remember, the fronts with tires were about 3 lbs heavier than my chrome ZR1s with tires, and the rears were about 5 lbs heavier. I never got a bare wheel weight, but I'll get them in the future. They are definitely a heavier setup though than my 17" ZR1s, which I fully expected.

Same sizes I went with, I am gonna run 275/35/18 KDW NT up front and 295/35/18 KDW NT on the rears. I read on another thread I believe that you had to roll the fenders, BFH and bumpstop mod. What size tires are you running?

Same size tires as that exactly, front and rear (only the KDW2s). I did roll the fenders, do the BFH on the inner fenders (didn't take much), and the front edge of the bump stops (towards the front of the car) will need to be ground down a little bit (not much though).
