it's got a wider section for the license plate and it's got the side molding that comes down lower on the sides of the rear bumper...

that dude lives in Norway...

btw i made a thread about this in the apperance section to show a comparison...

My emphasis was on "want".
Nobody actually wants that rear bumper. Those that have it usually want to replace it with the TA bumper.

I'm not sure I like that "euro" rear bumper.....I owned a VW for years and years and so I'm used to the "euro" look but I dont think it really fits these cars...thats JMO though

Yes, it's lowered, and yes, they fill the wells nicely.

I'll try and summerize. First, you don't really measure by how much it's dropped as the factory ride heights varied a little and most people don't even remember what the old height was. Just measure by the the fender lip heights from the ground.

Here is my car at 25" lips front and rear. This is really too low for street driving.

And here it is at 26" front and 26.25" rear. This is where I left it.

The 17x11" rear depends on a lot of things. At stock height no mods are necessary, once lowered it depends on the tire. Some 315's are narrow and some are wider. You need a good adjustable PHR preferably a rod ended one to get the rubbing equal on both sides, then you can go in and hammer on the wheel wells. Here are the common spots.

You also want to roll the inner fender lip so you don't cut your tire.

There are more detailed threads out there for fitting the 17x11 rims. Things like bumpstops and such. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it.

Although, it is more practical to get 17x9.5's all around and then use a 3/4"-1" thick adaptor to push the rear rims out. That looks nice too and lets you choose a 275-285 tire, but you lose the fat rim lip.

I sometimes get frustrated with the small 315 tire choices. I was thinking about narrowing my 17x11's down to 10" or so and mounting a 275 or 285 tire on it. I would still have the fat lip, but a lot more tire choices to choose from.

The good 315's are $300+ ea. while the good 275's are under $200 ea.

yeah...you drive a good point on that one....however, all 4 wheels and tires are sitting in my room waiting to go on so im kinda of committed to the 17x11's lol
