Default Painted 16" twisties, yes or no?

Well, I decided to get engaged, buy a house and get everyone x-mas gifts all in the same month. Needless to say I'm pretty damn broke right now and probably will be for a long time.

I detailed the hell out of the T/A on Saturday and got it looking great except the damn silver twisties that has peeling/hazed/yellowed clear coat over the rims. That and I plan on having my ws6 hood painted before I move out.

The tires are brand new and I can't even afford a $900 set of black ZR1s right now so I guess my only option is to repaint the ugly stockers in the meantime.

Should I repaint them silver or do a polished lip/black combo? I searched and searched and I guess no one bothers with the 16s

paint them black, with the polished lip, and polished "twist" part.

I painted mine Graphite 2yrs ago and it looked good for a couple months. Then I got tired of it and ended up buying 18's last year anyway.
So if your going to get bigger wheels eventually anyway don't waste the time and money painting the 16's JMO

I voted black with polished. Your cost will be low besides your time. Just do it.

Black with a polished lip. I would paint the twists black as well. Just keep the lip polished and that's it. Maybe find some Bird centercaps or get some plain black ones to match the new paint on the rim.

If they look that bad just paint them black with the polished lip.. Even if you plan to get new rims down the road it wont cost too much to just take em off and paint them..

Just repaint 'em silver IMO, or if you plan on getting anything else, then don't bother. I can't wait to get rid of mine.
