My .02, I have 18s on my car and they make a huge difference in drag racing
they look good as well do the 19s if thats what you want. I have 285/40/18x9.5
on the back and 275/40/18x8 on the front with a 2" drop with no problem

19's are perfect in "my" opinion
different strokes for different folks.
you'll get some people that hate 19 and bigger, but you will also get people who love'em.

i even run 20's on my daily 01 Xtreme Blazer and 22's on my 01 Xtreme Blazer project.

If i had the money to afford 19s in a good looking wheel, id have the money for pro stars too for when it was time for accual races.
Personally, imho, I don't dig it. 
I guess I'm old school. I remember when muscle cars came with 14's and 15's. So, when the 3rd gens started getting factory 16's and then 17's for our 4th gens, I thought that was a nice improvement in looks and performance. Then it got crazy. 18's, 19's, 20's, 22's, 24's !?! 
If wheels are too big, that's all you notice about a car. I prefer for everything to be cohesive so you see the car as a whole. For me, the sweet spot is 17's. If the 5th gen is designed with 18's or 19's, I may reconsider. But, I'll have to wait till I see one.
