Better than BFG or Nitto as far as traction goes.

Are the new ones out yet? I thought is was going to be another couple of months, although I haven't seen anything from M/T about them.

Check this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-tires/635224-anyone-know-when-new-mt-street-radial-sizes-coming-out.html

I have a set of the Hoosier's in 275-40-17 but have not used them yet. The bummer about the Hoosier is they have NO tread at all, and say "not for street use", or something to that effect on the sidewalls...although they are DOT rated and can be driven on the street.

Has anyone tried the new Goodyear SS drag radials? If so how do they compare with the other DRs?

http://www.racegoodyear.com/products/dot_drag.html

They seem to be priced to compete with the MTs and Nittos and are available at a number of places.
