I ran probably made 50 passes between the BFG's and Nittos together and didnt blow the tire off the bead.

I wasnt laughing at the safety issue, I was laughing about your "see what happens if you post it" comment. Its forbidden if someone post a picture of some thing you say isnt good.

Back on topic, did M/T say they was going to make the side wall softer? That would be sweet. Also wont the higher tread wear affect traction? I sure hope they do last longer than the 7k I got out of the others.

Its not what I say... its what the owners of ths baord have posted up as a guidline and ""Sticky's"" for people to read and be safe.....
Its also following what the makers of the product have written for saftey precations......

Im not saying it CANT be done..... im just saying its not safe and i HAVE seen what can happen when ya dont follow guidlines......

nitto's 315's with work on a 9.5 wheel because they are about a inch skinnier then M/Tand other tires! Nitto's run skinny! Here are some pics of 315's on 17x9.5 wheel with no problems

I wouldn't buy 315's and put it on a 9.5 wheel but this guy did and had no problems at all! With the nitto's being skinny you can get away with it!

When I bought my car the previous owner had 315 Nittos on the stock 17x9 ZR1 rims. Looked prety nice, but when they wore out I replaced them with some 275's.

When did M/T come out with the 315 17"?

No....a nitto 315 measures fine to fit *SAFELY* on a 9.5" wheel.

Now granted this is because the nitto measures about an 1" narrower than m/t's etc of the same size

then why is it that nitto recommends no smaller than a 10.5 wheel? because you can't do it safely.

See my 315 Nittos look stretched to fit on my 11" wheel compared to that. There is no sidewall bulge at all. I seriously think the 555R is better suited for a 10" wheel.

That just looks a ton better. I can't wait to get a REAL 315 tire on here.

take a side by side comparison of the nitto 315's and the m/t 315's...

you'll think twice about mounting them to a 9.5" rim.

there's a pretty big difference in the width... FWIW

what is roll out on those new M/T and do u know how tall they are because there site said it could change when they finally come out. I have used M/T in 275x17 but are way to short and look stupid on a C5 vette. Looking for about 26 true inch tire.
