Default 285s in the front

Anybody every have any eperience or problems with 285s up front?

I currently have 285 Khumos on the back with decent tread. I wanted to move them to the front and get 17x11s for the back. Possible?

Thanks

I think its possible, i have 275's up front with a good amount of clearance.

285's are only 1cm bigger.

Go for it.

that's what I figured, but 275s are all ready pretty wide for up front and I wasn't sure if it would mess up the handling?

They handling would probably be a little better.

It depends on the quality of the tire too.

I'm running 285's up front with no problems really. They rub in a few spots only when turned all the way in either direction.

No it wouldnt mess up the handling, it would work fine. They use 315's all around with most auto-xing. I say go for you plans and post pics when you get em.......

putting larger heavier Tires wont hurt handeling but it will make your power steering go out quicker.

Do it, as stated plenty of people run up to a 315 up front for AutoX.. I run 275 up front like ALOT of people do.
