Default will Alumistars with a 5 inch backspacing fit my 2000 trans am

as it states, how would i get these to fit? or would this even be worth the money to make them fit. I know that they are 8 inches wide, and http://www.freewebs.com/casper9t9/dragwheelinfo.htm states that a 5.5 backspacing will fit. so what i guess I'm asking is will these fit and not rub or require a lot of modifications to make these work. I know that if i have a 6.25 backspacing and these are a 5 backspacing i will need a spacer. I hope that i didn't confuse anyone with this question and if you need to know anything else please let me know. thanks in advance

JOSH

Alumastars are listed at weird backspacing. The 7" backspacing ones are actually 7.5" in reality. The 5" listed ones are most likely 5.5" in reality. I'm not sure why Weld did this, but it is pretty stupid. It is just on the Alumastars.

I had them on my drag car, their listed backspacing was 1/2" off from actual.

josh i believe it will fit with some grinding (like a normal weld) and a small spacer out back.

Thanks John, wasnt sure if that was the case. I used to have the draglites on there so i already did the grinding. But i will keep the grinder handy incase.
