Default Damn this is a tough decision...

First off let's start off by saying that my car is a RED 01 SS. I am having a lot of trouble deciding on what rims I want. I know that I want 315's in the rear, that's a must.

I am having trouble deciding between

-Black ZR1's with chrome outline/lugs

-Chrome ZR1's

-Polished Torque Thrust 2's

You guys have any other suggestions for a red car?

I already have taillight black-outs on the way, I was thinking maybe Black Halo Headlights/corners along with the black ZR1's...curious how that would turn out.

It's your car, you need to decide on what you want. But personally I think either the Chrome ZR1's or the TT2's would look best.

Go for the black zr1s with the polished lip. I just got mine and they are sexy, Thanks Tomz. Black goes hand and hand with the red on your car. If I were you I'd get the black zr1 rims, tint the windows 35%, anything darker might put you right on a cop's list, get the black halo headlights like you say you've got ordered, and do a bit of VHT Night Shade to the tail lights to match the headlights. That'd be the way to do it.

Black TTM > Black ZR1

You guys should use some more creativity with wheels, instead of all the common choices

Didn't realize there were black torque thrusts, what kind of price range to they run compared to ZR1's?

www.tomzwheels.com

personally, I'd go with chrome TTMs if this is your daily driver. Low maintenance and they look nice. I had black ZR1s on a previous red SS and got bored of them in about a month.

LMAO!

Someone will buy that dual-dual if you are careful about removing it. Those are always in demand since they flow as good as any catback and are quiet.

You aren't kidding about the demand, just from posting a thread about new exhaust I got like 4 PMs about buying it haha. How much should I sell it for, it's in good condition, nothing wrong with it at all?

dammit stick to the black rims I am torn about rims too. I want black 17 x 11 or ones larger enough to handle the gsd3 315s out back. seems only the blck zr1s are my choice.. sigh.

my brakes and rotors look too nasty to have these 5 spike rims hehe

Finally someone who feels the same way I do! Here is one of my quotes from a previous thread in the Appearance Section. This person has an SOM Z and was debating between ZO6's or ZR1's.

Neither. Look around for something different. If I wern't saving up to go away to grad school, I would have put a set of Fikse FM5's on my car a long time ago. Every Camaro I see on here has ZO6 wheels, ZR1 wheels (including mine). Do something a little different. TT2's are always sweet on lowered F-Bodies. Smoothie 2's or Foose Nitrous are other suggestions....be a little more creative!!
