Default Will I hate my car with 315's?

I really want the staggered rim look, but all I hear about is how crappy the Sumitomo 315's are. I refuse to drop $800 on tires for the GSD3's or mismatch brands. Should I just settle and get 17x9.5 all around, or live with the Sumitomos? I won't take the Z down the 1/4 mile, that's what the Grand National is for, and it might see a few autocross events...maybe. Mainly spirited in town driving/cruising.

I have been riding two days on my 315s sumitomos hrz's Not the II ones hrtz II that everyone raves about

I got the dirt cheapo ones from TomZ on the black oem ZR1 17x11 and 17x9.5 rims.

So far they ride better than my old bfg kdws 245/50 16x8 ones i had before on it which were stock. they feel like they handle better and grip better as well. Havent been int he rain yet

NO idea about wear etc..

had those kdws for a while maybe 2 years.. put maybe 18-20k on them..

Im not real hard on tires I dont think. but I think maybe people are a little hard on the sumitomos.. though even if these sumis last a year.. most ikely just the rear ones will need changing. so I can get a new rear pair.. for 200.. gg

Though if everyone is right.. and how can THAT many be wrong... if I ever do have a scare in the rain.. then I will be getting the gsd3's afterwards.

It depends. If you're at stock ride height, you probably won't have to do much of anything.

If you're lowered, you have to have the patience to make them fit. After hammering the inner fender wells a LOT, rolling the fender lips, and re-centering the rearend, I still rubbed every time I got in or out of my driveway. Also, I would rub over big bumps or when making sharp turns. In the end, I ran out of patience.

I will not argue that these cars look better with 315's in the back. The stance is much more menacing. And, in a straight line on a relatively even road, I never had a problem. Like I said, I just got tired of the hassle.

The only way I would re-center a rearend is with an adjustable panhard bar. They're relatively inexpensive and easy to install. If you have an alignment shop nearby that can measure thrust angle, they can help you get it dialed in.

Haha seems I posted my rely in the wrong section ) pasting some repleis here hehe

"Ok call me a cheap ****. I was just outside taking a more **** approach *the camera is upstairs and in a box hhe cant get it yet as they are still working up there grrr*.

I was outside and checking out the rear view.. and notice the driver side appears to stick out such that I can see the first groove of the sumitomo tread when I look at the bottom of the body panel as it curves inward.

The passenger side you cant see that first tread groove.

Looking at it from above it seems like the driver side is sticking out a little further as well and from the front.

I have an adjustable phr on it, but not sure if this tire shop has ever dealt with one. I know I havent adjusted it yet etc. Assuming I take it back to these guys for a little rear alignment haha, what or how should I help them do it? Will they need a spacer? OMFG!!! HORSESHIT GUZZLING!!!! Imma go get my damn camera brb "

right side

left side

Each wheel.

On a side note. Any thoughts on the chrome center caps/lugs and locking lug?

Cant decide if I should go all black with black lugs and locking lug.

See in the top two pics it looks like the left driver tire is about half na inch over maybe an inch?

Or maybe black lugs and chrome centercap..
