I'd rather have the OEM Goodyear tires but the Falkens only cost $416.00 for all four shipped to my door. The Falkens were difficult to seat, it took 120+ lbs air pressure before they popped and sealed on the OEM 10 spoke. I've heard that harder compound tires are more difficult to make pop on the SS wheel.
i work with tires all day long, and basically all falken tires are a bitch and a half to seat. the machines we use dont go past 60 psi, and i wouldnt go higher than that anyway. we have to lube the **** out of them in the hopes of having them seat the first time, and it doesnt usually work. pirellis are even worse, i absolutely despise these two brands as they arent a very good tire anyway.

The mechanic mounting my BF Goodrich KDW tires on the stock aluminum 16" x 8" z28 wheels had the same problem with getting them to pop. Took him almost an hour and a half to get them all mounted and balanced. He had about 90-100 psi in them to get them to pop and he doesn't have a cage so he was going very slow so they wouldn't blow in his face.

I have heard that some BFG's are difficult, but sharp edges inside the wheel do not help make the job easier also. You must lube both the wheel and the tire with some combo's.

I am running BFG G-Force KDW on my GN and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup on my STi. The BFG are great street tires. The Michelin's suck on the road, but are amazing when it comes to dry grip at optimal temp. 30mph turns become 85+mph turns.

I have the BF Goodrich g-force sports 275/40/zr17. They grip very well in wet and dry weather surprised me for a street tire.

Damn straight. I got mine brand new off eBay and then had them mounted/balanced for a total of $310 including shipping. I got the deal of the year.
