For track duty:
Sorry for the dirty car. Have to love keeping black clean. Anyways these are larger than they appear in the photos. They are 28" x 11.50" x 16" LT. They rub the plastic rear bumper/quarter panel slightly. I will have to sand it down a bit. I will also have to massage (ie. beat in ) the wheel wells somewhat.
EDIT: Some research shows that adjustable LCA's will allow we to bring the rearend forward some to make room for them as well. I am going to shoot for 2" of clearance.

I've had Kumho 712's....suck. They work well in the rain, but don't expect much in cornering or straight line traction.
BFG KD...Wore well and had good traction. Also did well in rain since I drive my car daily.
Falken RT-615...Everyone is down on Falken but these tire are nice. They have also been doing well in the rain. They also hook better than the KD's. Under full throttle in the top of 2nd my KD's would get damn loose. These will still spin but not near as much. They're not wearing as well as the KD's did though. I'm debating on putting them up front because of this.

Im trying to decide between 3 tires inn 275/40/17.
Riken Raptors - 300 tread wear rating 129$
Sumitomos htrz II - 220 tread wear rating 96$
Kumho ecsta mx - 220 tread wear rating, 140$
Im leaning towards the summitomos. I want the car to hook, but i also need it to last over 20,000 miles, since i drive over 15 a year. but with the summitomos being cheap it wouldnt be so bad if i had to change them more. Ive been stuck on which one to get for a while, any suggestions?

I have had Nittos, they are ok but the tread life is **** **** ****...Sumitomos are **** all the way around and back, horrible tire. Rikken Raptors were ok, alot better than the sumitomos. When I got my car it was wrapped in BF Goodrich, they didnt smoke much when you burned them off, but they my have been old. So far my most favorite street tire has been a Fuzion ZRi. That was an excellent tire with a really cheap price. That tire would hook very well, it gave me about 30k miles and thats with getting the car sideways on purpose a couple times a week, the occasional burnout and about 3 doughnuts once or twice a month (M6 with 4:10s was easy to light them up whenever I wanted to). It is a shame they stopped making that tire...
