Not to bring back a post from the dead, buuut.... I'm ordering a set of 19x9.5s all around with the 45mm offset and should be okay because I have c5 calipers and rotors on front.
I found a guy on corvette forums with the 19x9.5 45mm offset on his front wheels and they cleared his brakes with no issues at all.
Granted, he's running 255/35/19 tires, but that doesn't impact the wheel clearing the rotors.

18x9.5s (45et) DO NOT...i repeat...DO NOT fit the front of the 1998-2002 Camaro or Trans Am. They will not clear the calipers. I originally ordered 18x9.5 all around for my car and had to order two 18x8.5s for the front after I tried to install the 9.5's and couldn't. You can run a 1/4" spacer and they will JUST make it. But without a spacer they DO NOT FIT!!!
18x9.5 will fit the rear with no issues whatsoever.

Well, my post was to say that the 19x9.5 with a 45mm offseet will fit with a corvette front rotor/caliper, hence the picture I posted was a corvette front wheel with a 19x9.5 with a 45mm offset.
When you put on the 18x9.5 where did it rub on the caliper vs. the wheel? Just curious.

The 19's must fit simply because the spokes are longer. The 18's hit the caliper right at the top front corner. So if you can imagine the spokes being enlarged for a 19" wheel, it does seem logical that they could then be pushed out far enough to clear the caliper.

Hey Blackbird, your car is one of the major reasons I decided to go with the 278s in hyperblack. I happend to already have 275/30/19s (Michellins) so I decided to stay with 19x9.5s.
Maybe once spring time hits we can meet up and take some pics of the cars next to each other.

Blackbird24 and I suffered through the offset issues but I will tell everyone that 19x9.5 with a 45mm offset will fit on the front with 98-02 f-body brakes, the 18x9.5 with a 45mm offset like Blackbird24 stated will not clear the calipers ( the spokes hit the caliper so bad that the wheel will not bolt flush to the lugs, I had it work for show (limited driving on and off a trailer with a 1/4" spacer and that gave me about 1/16" clearance from a floating caliper. DO NOT purchase 18x9.5 with a 45mm offset and expect it to work on a 98-02 f-body or any big brake set-up. You will be sitting on jack stands waiting for the right set to get to ya.

I kinda enjoy being the pioneer though, the satisfaction of figuring it out is worth the frustration of the process. I'm happy with the 8.5 front width though because to me the 9.5 wheel's lip is too deep for the front of the T/A.

I've heard the point go both ways about front wheel width. My buddy told me to go with a narrower front wheel, but I currently have HP evo's in 19x9.5 on all four corners and liked the look. I'm reusing the same tires, Michellin Pilot sports in 275/30/19 size, so I didn't want to buy new tires as I paid a pretty penny for the Michellins and they only have like 12k miles on them.
The wheels should be here today, so I'll test fit one on the front and snap some pictures. I have the c5 front brake conversion, so stock brakes might be a little different.

I know a couple of people mentioning that they wish that the rear rims came in something larger than a 18.9.5.
Niche Venice wheels are almost EXACTLY the same wheel. I actually mistook some Ruff rims for Niches once. They make those in a 18x8.5 and a 18x10.5 that will fit our cars.
If I can become a dealer I am going to order some.
