I have a stock 10 bolt w/273's it's an auto. Now my ? is which drag radial should I get Nitto,BFG,or MT ET Street?I'm not ready for a new rearend until next spring which one of these will likely blow it?I would like to get 1.6,1.7 60's.

mt hooks the best, the bfg then nitto

so if you want the rear and tires to last a lil bit get the nittos

i just got 315 bfgs on mine and they hook great look good... and look much bigger then the 315 nittos for some reason they run wider... i cant really suggest them yet as i only drove 100 miles on them but they left a good first impression especially if they last 7 or 8k miles like they are supposed to

No way 1.6-1.7 60's on a stock stall and 2.73's will happen with those mods. on sticky tires you will be lucky to crack a 1.8x 60' because it will probably take the first 60' just to get the car into the powerband with that stock stall.

Well since your an A4 you could go stickier than the Nittos. I think the BFG's are in the middle of the 2 as far as traction. I would go MT's but since Im a M6 Im afraid to. Gotta mae the 10 bolt last till next tax season at least. I would go BFG if I were you. Do you drive a lot?

are you looking for 18" dr's? if so i was running the nitto 18" dr with mid 1.7 60' times, i have then switched to a 16" bfg dr. i also still run with my 2.73 gears, the nittos last longer also than bfg's, try the nittos.

yeah man, I doubt you will get anything close to a 1.6 60' with 2.73 gears. I have similar mods w/3.23's and MT's and best I have cut is 2.0 so far becuase of wheel hop, so in addition to those DR's you may need to get some upgraded suspension

def. get the nitto's. I ran 1.6 on all 4 runs in my 383/3800 stall car couple weeks ago and mine are 17". see sig for a quick video. I couldnt believe they hooked up, and gave me the same 60 I was getting last year in fall with my 15" ET STREETS. I figured Id spin a little, and get maybe 1.8's (plus last fall it was 50deg, this day was 90degrees out). and they def. last ALOT longer then any of the others.

oh, not in this sig. here. go to this link.

I was getting 1.9's all night with stock streets 245/50/16.

You are't gonna break your stock rear end in an automatic without a stall, and even then you'd have to be flashing it from idle repeatedly to do any harm.

The stickiness and tread life go hand in hand, nittos are great street DRs because they last many miles, but they aren't as sticky as the other two. With a BIG burnout they hook alright though.
BFGs are in teh middle, decent treadlife and pretty damn good bite
MTs aren't good for more tha 3000-4000 miles but hook like crazy

that doesn't mean that putting sticky tires on will get you 1.6's. your engine doesn't make enough power down low to do it on a stock stall. With DR's and a 2.73 it will hook and feel like a bog and slowly work its way to the powerband... at least that is how may car was when it was stock stall and 2.73's on DR's.

in fact there is a current thread here..
https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-lsx-automobile-discussion/749583-whats-your-best-60-stock-stall.html
... about what was the best time with a stock stall and not a 1.7 or lower 60' in sight.
