As for snow; you're taking your life in your hands even trying it. Do a search and you'll see what I mean. I am probably one of the best road course and autocross drivers on this site and it's all I could do to get my LT1 home from work during a minor snowstorm here last winter.

The GS-D3 is the best street tire I've ever owned, but only under the conditions I outlined.
I should have specified that I was speaking in terms excluding snow. Snow is not even a consideration for me because my car gets packed away right after halloween and comes out of hibernation the first weekend of april. My car doesn't know snow exists, so I never think of winter weather when speaking about car parts. By "do everything" i meant "do everything in the summer".

My car gets driven like a daily driver, with like >95% of the driving on the street, but it's not driven as much as a normal daily driver, and it doesn't drive in the rain if that is at all possible (I have other cars to drive). It also never goes out in the snow (except one time last year when I had no other car to drive, but not anymore, it goes in the shed/garage for the winter). I do also like to go to the track occasionally, and I would also really like to be able to launch really well with my new converter that I'm getting. If the GS-G3's (or any other street tire that would last a decent amount of time) can hook on the street with a converter (3600 stall) then I wouldn't hesitate to get them, but if they would, them i may want to get DRs for the back... I can't decide because I haven't driven on them, so I don't know if they'll stick or not...

I bought these for my 99 Formula and they are an awesome tire. They perform as described rain or shine. I don't drive the car in the snow and they are not rated for the snow anyway. I can't comment on their performance at the strip because I haven't ever used them at the strip (have ET streets for that). I have autocrossed on them in the pooring rain. I thought I'd be spinning and looping the car, but nope. They stood up. I have about 8,000 thousand miles on my set and I rotate them frequently and they show very little wear.

I'm trying to decide whether to get those or DRs now for my car... Would they be able to stick with a full bolt on stalled car?

A bad weather forecast caught me offguard and 40 miles from home! I had to get home somehow. It took me over 2 hours--and I was going faster than everyone else as it was! I normally don't budge that car in the winter but we had some problems with other vehicles that forced me to drive it that day. I've driven the same car with Kumho ASX's in the same conditions with no problems. Yeah, it's an F-body on snow; but still driveable, lol!

The GS-D3's do have anti-snow warnngs; I just want to make sure the original poster is aware of that and that they are important.

Oh, yeah: Go Bucks!

IMO they wear really fast, I beat on my car but I've never lost rubber as fast as these tires have....

lol, yeah been there done that. Almost pulled over and called the wife it was getting so dangerous. Definately a summer performance tire.

To the original poster. If you're not too worried about handling, autocross, rain, etc. get the DR's. Sounds like what would suit you best.

Well, just got them fitted to my new rims What do you think ?

Had the F1 Asymmetric on the original rims, which I though were excellent, especially in the wet. The GS-D3 are a little cheaper, once bedded in, i'll let you know

I'd like to thank ezekielta from this forum for all his assistance with my wheels

Looks good. It would look awesome with some tire foam/shine . Just for a more black colored tire.

You're not wrong, I'll be getting some today. The tyres look grey !!! I'll also be putting the WS6 hub caps in. Suspension kit on it's way (by boat) so should be here in 6-7 weeks. Does need an inch or so lowering too.

Just noticed your signature. I have a shipment of SLP stuff coming too, lid, filter, thermostat, fan switch... pretty much ticked all the LS1 parts list ... I already have the LS6 intake (2001 car) but with a '99 cam and Borla cat-back. Should all be finished in a couple of months, ready for it to go back into the garage for winter

I have them on my Trans Am. I didn't like them at first. They had too much sidewall flex. After I wore off 1/32 they seam to handle better. I have never drivin them in the rain so I can't comit their. I also raised the air preasure slightly to 33psi. Not sure if I will buy again or try a more dry handling tire at the expence of wet handling.

I know how you feel... . I just ordered a Yank SS3600, but I'm not going to get to drive it much after it gets installed... I'm heading back to school at the end of the month. After that i won't get to drive it much. I had a lot more plans for the car this sumer than I got done...
