Default cHEAPEST PLACE TO GET TIRES? 275/35/18s

My iForged rims should be here soon, and I still haven't bought tires yet. The cheapest I found was victoriatire.com for $148.00 a piece. Anyone seen this size tire cheaper somewhere else, doesn't really matter what brand. Also, the rims are 17 x9s, will a 275 fit OK, I've heard conflicting arguments. Thanks in advance, Rain

I understand that 18" wheels cost a bunch, but why oh why would one "cheap" out on tires? Tires are what we rely on to keep our cars safely on the road.

An excellent tire for the money is the Kuhmo Ecsta MX. I believe that you can get it from Discount Tire for around $200 each (not listed on the site but e-mail Todd). Got an EXCELLENT reveiw on the Tire Rack. I have these tires on my SS and am pretty pleased with them.

Another great tire is the Michelin Pilot Sport - PRICEY!

Althouhg I'm now confused??? In the topic you ask about 18" tires and in your post you talk about 17" x 9" wheels. So what is it?

Check out onlinetires.com, even though you pay shipping its a little ($30 give or take) cheaper. I just picked up a set of Falken F451's for $723. Where as discount tire direct would be $756 for 275/35/18's.

tirerack.com has the pilot sports at about the same price as the MX's ~$300. Too bad you dont need a 335/30/18, those pilot sports are only $148

When I was shopping around I found the Michelin Pilot Sports in a 275/35/18 at a local tuner shop for $150 each They are the OEM Dodge Viper tires. So $600 for a full set of top quality tires.

They are 18s not 17s, sorry.
-ArticSS, I'm in GA, about 3 hours south of Atl., little town called Valdosta that most people have never heard of. What kind of balancing machine should I ask around for. I know they are not all the same, and want to know what to ask the shops.
