Default chrome zr1 wheels

Does anybody know if the aftermarket chrome zr1 wheels are the same as the chrome 17x9 ss wheels on my camaro right now? I would like to just buy two 17x11 and put a 315 tire in the rear and keep the stock wheels the same up front to save myself some money.

I have the OE Concepts 17x11's on the rear with 17x9 SLP's up front. It looks perfectly fine, the OE concepts spokes are a little sharper edged, but it looks fine being they are wider. Check the fquick link in my sig for pics.

that looks good, did you have to do any modifications to fit 315s?

Just a little beating of the fender wells. I would get an adjustable panhard bar as well, so you can center the rear end. You might want to look into rolling the fenders too. I rolled mine slightly, but I need to roll them up a ways because they still rub when the car is loaded down going over bigger bumps and such.

+1

I have the exact same setup. They are slightly different, but you can't tell unless you inspect the car.

Its worth it to have that fat rubber out back.

Yah I thought they were going to be a little different, I just wanted to get some opinions from people who had this setup. For the price of the wheels its completely worth it, I can get 2 shipped to my door for $350, now I just need to figure out what tire to run. I'm debating between the nitto 555r dr or the mickey thompson ET street dr. What are you guys running?

I would go with the Nitto 555r. I rode on mickey thompson et street drag radials for a while. They rode fine and all but good lord do they wear down quick! And if you EVER plan on driving in rain you might as well forget about it. They are however the best drag radial for track use in my opinion. But if you are going to be doing mostly street driving and the occassional trip to the track i would go with the nittos.

I thought about doing this, but my eyes go right for the damn differences.

Maybe I need to have my OEMs widened....

If you widen your OEM's, you will run into offset problems.

The OEM's are already a +50mm offset, so if you widen them the positive offset will increase.
