The LS2 style C6 rims (OEM) have the following weights:

Front 18X8.5 = 21.5 pounds
Rear 19X10 = 23.5 pounds

I've got the aftermarkets.... I did feel any loss in normal driving. Unless you are planning to RACE the car... it should be fine.

I would say if you can avoid 5-6 pounds of unsprung weight per wheel, do it. Light weight wheels will typically be more expensive than a heavier wheel of the same size; but even if you don't race, it affects the way the suspension reacts and wears. If you get a chance, go to the TireRack and check out the difference in weights between various tires of the same size too. Of course you can't ignore other performance characteristics like wet weather performance or cornering stability in search of the lightest possible weight.

I have factory reproduction chrome C6s. 18x9.5 and 18x10.5s. They are VERY HEAVY. I felt a difference as soon as i put them on. But the looks makes up fro the slight performance loss. and it may be slower in a straight line, but the handling is much better. besides I got 3.90s now, so I notice anymore
