this is funny i actually saw this post, i had a BFG rep stop by today at my shop and we got to talking about DR's and how only a very few are easy to come by for tire companys. We got to talking about the new nittos and why some people cant hook with the nitto DR at the track compared to the street.
he said they've been going over it with their own DR and that they've found it better, to just slightly chirp them...no burn outs and esp dont do it on each run....even in the water box, he said the tires are designed for straight launch anyway....
this is kind of an agreement at least from BFG's stanpoint and another tire distributor who was there we all agreed.....michellins rep comes next week and im going to ask him about the sport cups and see if there the same...

Anyone who thinks they're going to hook with Nittos without a serious burnout is kidding himself.
BFG DR's as a whole arent made to be burnt out...plain and simple as for nittos air pressure is key to them...thats been a given for me and several people at the track
I haven't run BFG's, so I can't comment specifically about them. Maybe they're an exception. I find that hard to believe, but I've only run Nitto's and MT's, so of course, I can't say.

I take my own experience at the track more seriously than what some tire rep says.
