Default Kuhmo Tires

Just wanted to say I got some Kuhmo Ecsta 712s for my 99 Z28 and they are great!

I had GSCs before and these tires are every bit as good but are much cheaper! I was a little hesitant when I ordered them because I love the look of the GSCs and I wanted them to look cool... They look great and the ride is excellent.

I definitely recommend these to anyone.. Got them for about $380 shipped from tirerack.com.

I've got them as well. Im sure they wont grip as well as a $250/each set of goodyears, but for the price, I won't complain!

I got the Ecsta's also, and they grip better than the Goodyears that came on the car. 2.06 60ft time, pretty good for no t/c and street tires.

I got 2 Ecstas for the front of my WS6 and they seem to be decent. I am thinking about buying a full set for my SS, but I may just go with fronts too and get drag radials for the rear. Right mow I am running my 26x10.5x16 ET STREETS on the rear. Seems to be the only way to get traction in the SS!

Kuhmos are great for the summer. But in cold weather they don't grip at all. I see some of you live in warm climates so you don't have to worry about anything. I was really happy with them in the summer too, but hated them in the winter.

Kumho Ecsta 712's are good tires, better than GSC's, cheap as dirt, and last a long time. The MX's are the badasses though, as far as a non-drag radial tire goes, they grip pretty awesome, and they're not expensive for the grip you get. I work at Discount Tire, and a bunch of my co-workers run them, that's the way to tell what tires are good, what the managers run on their cars.

Yup, the 712's are the best bang for your buck. I cut a 1.85 60' on them to the tune of 11.59 @ 121mph. They must be decent.

ya i run the 712's and ecstas on the rear. hooks up decent, but can still spin them at a 30 punch. but if you're sort on cash, best bang for the buck

I broke mine loose on the highway from a 60mph punch. The rear end kicked out about 3 feet to the right. It scared the **** out of me. Granted, it was about 30 degrees out, the tires were brand new, and this was on a 150 shot of nitrous.

LOL, the reason why Goodyears are $200+ is so that GM can get them for $18/tire instead of $22/tire before they slap them onto your rims before your car rolls out their bay. If GM had a deal with Kumho, then those tires would be $205 each and we'd be having this conversation about GSA tires being better... eh, maybe not!
