Default Are my wheels bent?

I Installed C6 Replica Wheels(17x9.5), the manufacturer told me they weigh 25lbs each, my stock SS wheels (10 spokes) weighed 22lbs each so they are a little heavier but, I didn't think it would be enough to weigh me down, perhaps the manufacturer lied? I bought these used and I think they are straight, but it took like 7 ounces of weight ot balance out the rear tires.

I usually Trap 140-150MPH on this one mile straight, Well now i can only trap 130.

There was a huge Vibration in the car at 55-60 and 100+ so I brought the rims in for balancing, Well, The rear wheels took over 7 ounces of weight each to balance out. But the front wheels only took 2 ounces tops, I dunno if the car i got the rims from were raced or what not, but it seems funny that just the 2 rear wheels took all the weight.

Anyone ever have this problem? any suggestions?

the rim looks straight and when it was spinning on the balancer it looked smooth, you think this could be tire related?

Maybe you need hubrings for the rear. Allot of aftermarket wheels aren't balance like original OEM. My AR Rebels needed hubrings on all 4 and now it's good. I've had the vibration in the rear at speeds of 50-60mph b4 and with the hubrings from Discount Tire, all good now.

do they have anything to do with it taking 7 ounces of weight to balance a tire?

A hubring is a brass ring that goes on your hub. When you take off your tire, the brass ring is installed with a rubber mallet then you put your wheel back on. It takes up the space that the aftermarket wheel is missing compared to the OEM wheel. Call your local Discount Tire company and they'll be able to show you and even order the hubrings for you.

Because it's the rear wheels, is it possible it has bent steel cords in the tires?

hmmmm now thta i think mayb e i do need those rings, we hit the tire with out hand after the balancing and it made a squak noise that we couldn't diagnose, maybe it was the wheels off-center?

thats way the hell to much weight to put on the tires, put it on a balancer and spin them you can see if there bent or not
