Call jegs and summit. I don't think that will be enough to hook your setup. They are only 9.3" tread width. I couldn't hook on h/c 100 shot at all.

Hmmm... I hear ya.
They gotta hook me a little better than the 26 x 11.5 x 16's, though, right? I just want as good a hookup as I can get.

i am gonna have to disagree pretty strongly. first, if you are running a 15x8" rim, who cares how wide the tire is? your section width is only gonna get a hair wider than the wheel. second, tire sidewall height is much more important in allowing the tire to give and absorb the shock esp on the 6 speed launches. take a look around at the guys pulling 1.5x and lower - it is height.

A taller tire definitely puts more surface area on the ground AND it kills the gearing some. There is more travel per rotation of hte tire.

Summit always had Mickey Thompsons in stock, alot cheaper than Jegs too.If your suspension is set up right you should have no problems hooking it up,track prep plays an important role also.Black T/A post some times with that badass new bullet.

Thanks for all the advice, guys!

Mike?
I think they will hook pretty well.
I have gone 1.50 on 26" ET Streets and I think that those 28's will be good for high 1.4's.
I'd get a set too if I didn't have to spend the jing elsewhere.

i've seen high 1.30's on 28X10.5's and i think they're more than adequate here. good luck finding an 11.5, i'd look closer to a 12.5 myself though.

Thanks, PSJ... I have a feeling they will help me.
I really wanted to try the same height tire that Hoosiers has out... theirs is about an inch wider treadwise. But, I wasn't sure how much fab work would be required... one out-of-town shop that has done it says adjustable LCA's allow them to shift the rearend to fit it or it requires some body work; both of which they've done.
I'm going to explore who might shave my quarter-panel back some and re-mold it to look stock. Everyone that has tried both tires say the Hoosiers bite better in the street, and some even say so on the track. The tire is supposed to be softer.
